How Remora Works

Remora ONE plugs into a laptop, phone or tablet with USB-C. Remora PRO sends sound wirelessly from a TV or computer, with no lag or lost quality, so patients can move around the room. Both work with any wired headphones. The processing happens inside the device, not in an app, so it behaves the same everywhere.

New listening tools and hearing profiles arrive as updates, not a new device.

Is Remora a hearing aid?

No. It can personalize sound to a patient's hearing, but it is not a medical device and does not replace a hearing aid. It is built to work alongside one.

Do patients need special headphones?

No. It works with any headphones they already own.

Will it help with tinnitus?

We are currently researching tinnitus relief therapies with the University of Newcastle. We hope to do clinical trials in the near future.

How does it improve over time?

New listening tools and plugins arrive as software updates. No new hardware.
